Detroit heads to Raleigh for a tilt against the Carolina Hurricanes just one day after saying farewell to fan favorite Patrik “oh yeah he plays for us” Nemeth. That move must have been imminent for a few days because Nemeth has been sitting lately. Oh well, he’s an Avalanche again so screw him and his team.

What’s important now is that Detroit got their asses pasted for the 2nd time in two weeks by Nashville in their most-recent game and now they owe us an entertaining game to watch. For some reason, they’ve been able to provide those pretty well against the Hurricanes so far this season.

It’s kind of amazing that Detroit has won twice against Carolina, who wakes up with the Central Division’s best record. The Canes have lost just 9 games in regulation and Detroit is responsible for 22% of that.

Maybe the brothers Svechnikov will get some head-to-head shifts in this one? With Bobby Ryan out for the rest of the season and Fabbri definitely missing this one, we need more than just Adam Erne to score.
