Frontline Research: Detroit Red Wings — Copper & Blue

The Oilers are off to the sunny skies of Detroit. They’ll face a Red Wings club that just got finished taking care of the Vegas Golden Knights by a 5-2 margin. They’ve got plenty of talent that can put the puck in the net, are the Red Wings going places in the standings? I’ve enlisted J.J. From Kansas from our Red Wings sibling site over at Winging It In Motown to help fill in the blanks.

Shameless self-promotion time!

NHL Power Rankings: Oilers rising but still chasing down Panthers, Hurricanes – CBS

Tyler Bertuzzi kept on rolling with two goals against the Sabres and another against the Golden Knights. He has been a big reason that the Red Wings have outperformed expectations to this point.

Eichel hopes to play for Golden Knights three months after having surgery – NHL

“The rehab process, you’re working out probably a week to 10 days post-operation,” Eichel told NHL Network on Friday. “It’s not like you’re doing a workout with heavy weights or anything, but you’re able to move around. Hopefully at six weeks I’ll be able to get back on the ice and start skating. And I’m hoping around 12 weeks, three months, that I’ll be back playing.”

He said in six months he expects to feel “100 percent, back to normal.”

Hope is not a strategy.
