Detroit Red Wings (8-8-2) vs. Vegas Golden Knights (9-7-0)
When: 10 p.m. Thursday.
Where: T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
TV: Bally Sports Detroit.
HE’S BACK: Dylan Larkin back with team after false COVID-19 positive test
Radio: WXYT-FM (97.1) (Red Wings radio affiliates).
Game notes: It’s a rematch from last week, when the Wings beat the Golden Knights, 5-2, on Nov. 7. Thomas Greiss had 38 saves and Lucas Raymond, Tayler Bertuzzi and Robby Fabbri were among the several Wings who scored. Detroit got hot, winning three games last week but have dropped their last two behind some shoddy defense (10 goals allowed).
The Golden Knights are 4-1 since that loss to the Wings, but fell, 4-2, to the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night. Jonathan Marchessault has four goals in his past five games and leads the team with nine goals this season. Robin Lehner (7-6-0) has been in goal most games, with a 2.93 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage.
Next, the Golden Knights get the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday at home; the Wings play earlier that night vs. the Arizona Coyotes on the road.
