Detroit

(Guessing due to Erne being on COVID protocol. At this point, I haven’t seen players being recalled to/from the taxi squad. I’d personally like to see Veleno center line two, but I don’t think at this point with so few games left that it’s hurting his development to have him as 3C.)

1. Limit chances, but not like last game!

I’m not saying that every game has to be a barnburner, but wow was last game boring. In this last stretch the least the team can do to reward fans still watching is to keep them awake.

2. The Early Evening with Joe Veleno Show

Veleno had a very good game last time out in his first NHL appearance, and looked like he belonged. We’ll see if he gets more ice time this game, since he did as the game went along against Columbus.

3. Make the Best of It

The season is almost over. Let’s make the best of the games we have left.
