This could not interest me less, but far be it from me to deny any of you the chance to enter before Friday.
Karel Gut said this was happening in our comments a while ago but now it’s apparently official. Bye.
“There’s a few differences in the way they do it, but so what’s the separator? Getting your players to buy into that and then figure out how to get the most out of your players. That really is, at the end of the day, that’s what coaching is. At all levels, is taking a kid, whether you’re coaching a peewee hockey player or NHLers, want him to be the best player he can be in the framework of what hockey is, which is a team sport.”
The full video itself is paywalled, but the snippets are definitely interesting. Many have long suspected that the true impact of coaching isn’t in the strategy (because they’re all so similar), so the question is whether the person behind the bench is best reaching their players.
