Red Wings host Los Angeles Before Week-Long Break

Octopus Thrower

The Detroit Red Wings look to add to their modest one game win streak when they host the Los Angeles Kings tonight.  The Red Wings are playing .500 hockey after a 2-1 OT win over Anaheim on Monday night.

Los Angeles are also on a one game winning streak and are 5-3-2 in their last 10 games.

Game time tonight is 7:30 PM ET at LCA in Detroit, MI.

Player Focus: Dylan Larkin

Dylan Larkin has been sensational this season for the Detroit Red Wings.  Routinely, Larkin has been the Red Wings best player.  Larkin has been playing 20-22 minutes every night and seems to be thriving during the 3-on-3 in OT.

Currently, Larkin is on quite an offensive roll.  During the last eight games, Larkin has scored seven goals, four assists, 12 points, and 30 shots on goal.

For the season, Larkin leads Detroit in scoring.  In 41 games, Larkin has scored 23 goals, 20 assists, 43 points, and a +4 rating.  Look for Larkin to represent Detroit at the NHL All-Star Weekend Feb. 4-5.
