For every up-hill there is a downhill. Friday night, the Detroit Red Wings faced their downhill slope against the Ottawa Senators. Tonight, the Red Wings look to get their revenge.

The Detroit Red Wings are competing for a high draft pick at this point. I mean, yes, there is a chance that they could make the playoffs, but it’s still incredibly unlikely. However, when your a pro team, no one is willing to accept losing if they can help it. I mean, losing is a terrible feeling.

So, with that being said, tonight the Red Wings look to make a statement against the Senators and rebound with a win.

Looking back to the game on Friday night, the Red Wings were right there in the game until the third period. That’s where everything went south. However, the Red Wings proved to themselves that they have what it takes to hang with them since they did in fact do it for two periods, it’s just a matter of finishing strong.

When you look at what the Senators have going for them, their biggest weapon is Brady Tkachuk. Knowing that, you can assume that the Senators will be throwing pucks at the net all night long and try to give Brady the chance on the rebound. Not to mention that he has the ability to shield the goalie as well given his frame. So, how will the Red Wings counter that?

The Red Wings best game-plan should be playing a game of short passes instead of trying to play a game of stretch passes. Now, there are some scenarios that you use stretch passes- obviously, but quick, efficient passes, should be their primary goal.

Additionally, they should use advanced transition tactics in order to keep them moving. When using different transition tactics, it can give the Red Wings time to set up plays that have a high execution percentage. Which, given the Senators play style, that is what they need.

So, now that we went over the game, what can we expect the lines to look like tomorrow?
