One of the things that the Detroit Red Wings have been hoping for is depth in their forward core. In 2023-24, the team has taken some strides in that regard. One player who has helped is Robby Fabbri, who is healthy and scoring.

After an early injury kept him off the ice, the Detroit Red Wings welcomed Robby Fabbri back to the lineup, and he’s gotten off to a good start. He’s found ways to produce, and as of late, the offense continues to shine through.

Detroit has to be happy with how things have gone for Fabbri as of late, finding the offense settling into his second-line role quite well. This could raise some questions as the Red Wings start to dive into line combination changes to get Patrick Kane into the mix with Detroit.

With Fabbri scoring so much, he may find himself deserving of a top-six role to see how things progress as the season continues on. Detroit should give Fabbri a chance; he’s earned it with how well he has been playing for the Red Wings as of late.

Detroit Red Wings forward Robby Fabbri continues to get it done.

While Fabbri has had his fair share of injury woes, between time missed due to COVID-19 issues, ACL injuries, and knee injuries, he’s no stranger to adversity. But after recovering and returning to the Red Wings, Fabbri shows he is good to go.

He’s been a contributor in this offense in 2023-24, playing in 10 games for the Red Wings, where he has nine points. In his last five games for the Red Wings, Fabbri has five goals and two assists for seven total points.

The Red Wings have to be happy with how things are going for Fabbri after making his return to the team’s lineup. His hot streak as of late is a nice bonus for Detroit as they expect to get Patrick Kane into the mix after signing the veteran forward.

Fabbri has been one of Steve Yzerman’s best additions. While he’s had injury troubles, the Red Wings gave up nothing to get him, and he’s found a way to bring value to Detroit for years since being acquired. It’s something the Red Wings should be extremely happy about.

While Fabrri may not be some all-star or anything, he’s back on the ice and lately has been performing exceptionally well, which should leave head coach Derek Lalonde and the Red Wings staff as a whole quite happy.
