Winging It In Motown

Dennis Cholowski ‘rolls with the punches’ in effort to stick with Red Wings – MLive

I’m cutting a lot of context here, so read the whole thing, but these two stood out to me:

From Cholowski

“Being up, being down, going through a roller coaster of emotions. I’ve kind of seen it all at this point. Now I kind of just roll with the punches.”

From Blashill

“We’re not getting ahead of ourselves in terms of how long (he’ll be up) or how many minutes (he’ll play),” coach Jeff Blashill said. “I did tell him we’re dressing seven D and when you dress seven D minutes get scarce. Someone is going to get those seventh-D minutes and I told him at the start that was going to be him. The more power-play time we have the more ice time he has. It’s enough minutes to make an impact and he’s just got to play well.”

I know what I think about putting a person on a “roller coaster of emotions” as a developmental tool, but I’m open to all takes.

Outside of this, there’s a lot of rehashing about trade rumors but I’m not seeing anything terribly concrete out there. We know just about anybody is available for the right price. That’s kind of what makes it “the right” price.

Finally, the Griffins announced that both of their postponed games against Chicago have been rescheduled: April 13th and 26th

The link for the search did take me to the correct page (Linked here for you), but always fun when the algorithm goofs.

In all serious, it’s just a huge surprise to see an actual meaningful suspension related to Chris Pronger.
